imo it's not about the /played, but i can let you guyz know if it's necessary. It's like 2 years since i first got WoW.

What experience you have of WoW before tbc (The burning crusade) and after:
I didn't have the chance to experience end-game pre-TBC raids. In TBC i raided Kara (all bosses), Gruul's Lair (all bosses) and SSC (not completed)

For about 5-6 hours, it depends.

Not much left to say, except that i think it's a wise decision you've made by renewing the guild. By doing this you get rid of slackers, newbies and so on and give yourself a chance to do some serious bussiness
